"The greatest CrowdChess game ever is here... plus a lot of of other great news!!"

Hello CrowdChess'ers Just wanted to let everybody that we finally have some great and much anticipated news to announce. First of all it is my pleasure to announce a first of hopefully many great and unique games here on CrowdChess, the game you will definitely like and appreciate - Grandmaster vs. CrowdChess and not just any kind of grandmaster but one of the best in the business - Gawain Jones. In 1997 Gawain made chess history as he became the youngest player in the world ever, to beat an International Master in an official tournament game, it was a moment of such historical significance that one of Britain's largest newspapers The Guardian featured him on the front page. Gawain is one of England's highest rated players, his current FIDE rating is 2522. A few words about the game... The world plays with whites and starts the games and GM Gawain Jones plays with blacks. Each team has 12 hours to make a move with the blacks playing from 7 AM - 7 PM (PST) and whites (Gawain) playing from 7 PM - 7 AM (PST). First team to win 3 games wins. I also want to use this opportunity and say a big, big thank you to Gawain for agreeing to take part in this games and for the time and effort he will be putting in to this!! Thanks man, you rock!! I also wanted to let everybody know that we heard you!! You told us you wanted a faster game than the 30 min. one as well as a slower one and you wanted the ability to play one on one and so I'm happy to let you guys know that it's all here! Starting from today in addition to the initial 30 min. per move game we have added a 10 min., 1 hour and 1 day per move games as well as the ability to play one on one games with your fellow CrowdChess members, all you have to do is check the "I agree to take part in 1/1 games" box in your profile page and you are ready to go! If you encounter some bugs here and there please don't judge us too harshly, let us know and we will try to fix them ASAP. And at last but not least, I wanted to say thank you for all the suggestions and feedback you've shared with us as well as for making CrowdChess in to a great community of chess enthusiasts and players!! We would not be here today if not for you guys!! Enjoy the games and here's to you!! Stan
